One of the best books on advertising, marketing and copyrighting. Roy Williams is truly the "Wizard of Ads." Roy breaks down each topic to just a page or two chunks. You'll truly gain more factual, real world knowledge of advertising, marketing and copyrighting than several years in most colleges.

Since first reading this trilogy I tell people to purchase them here and once they read the books should they claim it was a waste of their time I will gladly double their money back and they can keep the books.

I've been fully engaged in studying marketing for the last four years and have read the latest and the greatest. So far The Wizard series feels like reading an old book with some interesting but relatively outdated ideas. clever marketing for the book, but not much substance for the new on-line word that we live in now.

These books are absolutely excellent for anyone in advertising/marketing. I ordered these extra copies for a new person here.

When my radio sales rep gave me the first book back in 2003, it changed my business for the better! I had barely finished reading half the first book when I ordered the trilogy.
I learned more about advertising and business and human nature in general in the three days it took me to read all three books than in the previous ten years on the job doing those things. I gained understanding that had previously been just out of my grasp. I grew by leaps and bounds both personally and professionally. Plus, Roy is such a good writer that I had tremendous fun reading the books, too.
Yeah, that sounds like a bunch of hyperbole. Tell you what. You buy the books. If they don't rock your world, call me. If you don't get at least one aha moment out of the books, I'll take them off your hands and put them into the hands of someone who can use them. I'm willing to bet you get at least a baker's dozen of aha moments and world-changing ideas

Taking a client to lunch is a great activity...giving that client the Wizard of Ads is gifting a banquet...day after day. Make the Wizard a daily devotion!

I have given away several sets of this trilogy and referred others to the ordering page. I tell people that once they invest in these books, read them and discovered that they learned nothing I will double their money back even if they didn't buy the books from me.
If they learned nothing then I suggest they use my money to pay towards a psych eval as they are in need of at least one.
Roy's perspective on stuff makes me want to learn more.

Informative, entertaining, easy to read and understand, essential to anyone who is interested in the Wizard's or their own curiosity of....'why do people do what they do?'
Lucky I was to have worked for James Abrams and John Young....HVAC millionaire makers....both smart enough for sure but the real secret to their success was they were wise enough to seek out ALL the answers they could find in the universe including Roy Williams Marketing.
Roy is so real you feel like you could smell his last meal when he speaks....he seems to boil everything down to the common denominators of humanness....and while entertaining you I sense he is really entertaining himself more. I'll read every one of the trilogy again and again......until maybe, I could only hope, I can absorb some of his passion for life and his ability to lead people down beaten paths with style and grace...only to meet you when you are ready....something more like confucious....when the student is ready the teacher will appear. More than a wizard....he's the sauce on the barbecue....he's the ripe fruit on the tree of knowledge....he's like the lion's morning wake up stretch....he's the star spangled banner of commonality amongst us.
If you want to Eat well, Learn everything you can, Live every day fully, and Chase your dreams....roy williams can take you there.

Hello viewers of reviews. My name is Angela, and I am 21 years old. I am a future entrepreneur of America. I don't have the first book or the third, but I found the second one in a Good Will and it is my treasure. It is an amazing and insightful book that I am sharing with friends with equal or different ambitions than my own. In this book, I found things in here that will not only help my future business but also with lessons in life and how to drink in the view. I love my book and someday I want to read the first and third book (and keep them and share them).

I read the Wizard of Ads while my son was snowboarding one day. Bought and read the Secret Formulas the next. Having spent many years working in advertising, these books hit me for their brilliant insight.
The ideas struck me three ways. 1) I knew that. 2) I knew that but never thought of it that way. 3) I can't believe I never thought of that.
Roy's observations are so profound and on the mark yet stunning in their simple elegance.
