A New Kind of Optimism
by Mike Dandridge
Some studies tell us that as much as 50-70 percent of our belief system is negative, counter productive, or self-defeating. Why wouldn’t it be? Pick up a newspaper or turn on the TV and it’s obvious that our world is in turmoil. No wonder the use of anti-depressants is at an all time high.
So why bother listening to an audio-book about optimism? Only a fool would think positive thinking can save us now. Maybe so, but according to Dr. Laura Kubzansky, it could quite possibly save you. Dr. Kubzansky says, Most of the evidence that “thinking positively” is good for your health has been anecdotal. My study provides some of the first hard medical evidence for this idea in the arena of heart disease.
Though her study focused on heart disease, it’s not much of a stretch to believe that having an optimistic view could have a positive influence on other areas of our health.
This audio-book, The Seventh Golden Key: A New Kind of Optimism offers you the mental boost you need to overcome obstacles in your life and the emotional stamina to face the challenges of the real world.
