 Product Description

Ballads of Keith Miller

Keith Miller's ballads recount the inner journey of a soul searching for God. As he records the exploits of early Texans, he identifies with heroes and con men, brave women and evil deceivers. Realizing the inadequacy of his own self-image, his honesty in facing himself enlightens these traditional pictures as part of his pers0hal quest and speaks to the struggle within each of us to find our own reality.

When he was 24 years old, Keith traveled the outer reaches of Texas acquiring lease rights for an oil and gas company. The stark Texas desert with its mesquite and prickly pear cactus, searing heat and sudden storms made a great impression on the young man.

The legends and myths, tales of local and Mexican wars for independence, had been handed down from fathers and grandfathers. Texans have always been gifted storytellers!

Added to Keith's gifts for humor and colorful language, compelling action, and an uncanny ability to climb inside another person's skin, these unique experiences provided the
framework for the powerful verses in this volume. You will be touched, entertained and blessed by this special Texas "brand" of poetry.
